The first chapter is a brief summary of my life and the story of my spiritual journey—faith to atheism and back to faith. The other chapters are independent stories of major lessons and how I learned them, mostly from other people.

Most are meant for Christians, who, I hope, will use them in several ways, such as:

·   Personal devotion time. Many can be read in ten minutes and stimulate prayer.

·   Sharing Jesus's teaching with young people. Someone other than a parent may speak to
   them.

·   Small group discussion topics. Many look for books that promote discussion.

·   Adult class content. I've taught several of my "Lessons" and would gladly share the
   PowerPoints.
